She doesn’t appear in much of the book, but in the film she is portrayed as a general like Li Jing (Ne Zha’s father), loving Nezha with maternal love and teaching him the right things to do.

Lady Yin’s final scene in Ne Zha 2 is quenched into into a elixir by the Eternal Elder. When Nezha saw his mother’s death, he was filled with grief and anger, and finally broke through the curse of nailing the body, and together with Ao Bing defeated the Eternal Elder.
