Curious people are always interested in the animals that have died on the earth, the most representative of which is the dinosaur. Although dinosaurs have been extinct for tens of millions of years, they have been able to recover their size and appearance through fossils, which gives us a glimpse of the ecological environment and biological characteristics of the time. Early people thought that Tyrannosaurus Rex had only fearsome teeth in its mouth, but today’s research shows that Tyrannosaurus Rex normally had upper and lower lips, and the teeth were wrapped under the skin. This discovery also gave people a more realistic image of Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Spinosaurus:

1. Spinosaurus is another dinosaur whose appearance has been constantly modified. Early reconstructions, based mainly on backsails in the fossil, suggested that Spinosaurus had a large dorsal sail on its back and walked upright. But as more fossils were discovered, scientists came to realize that such backsails were impractical and that there were problems with walking upright.

2. The inference that it walked on all four legs also makes a huge change in the image of Spinosaurus, which is related to the fact that it was an aquatic dinosaur that ate fish. The latest research even suggests Spinosaurus may have walked on all fours and been better at gliding through water. This speculation has opened a new door to the recovery of Spinosaurus, and more scientists have studied it.

Difficulties in the recovery process:

1. Broken and missing fossils are one of the biggest challenges in dinosaur recovery. Without complete fossils, it is difficult to determine the true shape and appearance of dinosaurs.

2. Another challenge is to correctly judge the appearance of dinosaurs. Because it is difficult to determine the appearance characteristics and proportions of different parts, it is difficult to determine the true appearance of dinosaurs. Sometimes, scientists have to describe the appearance of dinosaurs with features similar to those of some modern animals.

3. The computer simulation used in the restoration process also has some errors and limitations. The computer simulation is only based on existing data to construct the dinosaur image, but these data can be inaccurate. In addition, computer simulations can’t take into account dinosaur behavior and ecology.
