As a motorized dinosaur model manufacturer for more than ten years, we have manufactured many large / giant animatronic dinosaurs or animals. Basically, we go to the exhibition site to install giant dinosaur or animal models at the request of customers, so we have accumulated a lot of necessary experiences.

Of course, some customers want to try to install giant animatronic dinosaurs by themselves in order to save investment costs. The clients who have cooperated for the second even third time. We are here to share some installation experiences, and show the installation steps and other content.

1.Deliver giant dinosaur or animal parts to exhibition site (foam body & steel legs frames)

Use tools such as a small trailer or forklift to transport the assembled dinosaur parts (body, legs, head, tail, etc.) to the exhibition site one by one! Each of these parts has a length of 4-8 meters, which is relatively large cargo, and some are steel frames, which require tools or vehicles that can be load-bearing and easily handled, so that transportation can be efficiently completed.

2.Carefully peel off the air bubble film around the parts

The workers will tear the bubble film around the dinosaur model together! Take care not to destroy the skin inside when you peel off the bubble wrap! Generally, scissors or utility knives are used to cut the bubble film and then tear, and knife use may damage the skin inside, so be careful.

3.Assemble the steel frames together inside the giant dinosaur

The interior of any giant dinosaur or animal is welded from the steel frames. To install the giant dinosaur, the internal steel frames are assembled one by one. We will mark each steel part, and then we only need to assemble it one by one according to the serial number. Most steel frames are legs of dinosaurs or animals.

4.Patch the sponge on the outside of steel frames and sew well

After installing the steel frames of dinosaur, sponges from the legs or body were attached to the steel frames one by one, and the cracks were glued together. Finally sew up the gap with a needle and thread.

5.Color skin works for complete the gap

After all the dinosaur / animal parts are installed, the final thing is to pour a mixture of silicone + oil paint + gasoline into the airbrush and spray skin paint to repair the gaps so that the whole giant dinosaur or animal looks like a new factory product.
